Nowdays environmental psychology is involved in media, architecture, design, advertisement.

There are some universities, mainly in America and United Kingdom, offering Environmental Psychology courses.

The University of Surrey offers architectural psychology courses since 1973. There are 250 graduates from 25 countries from that course.

Environmental Psychology Group(EPRG) of Surrey University has led research activities for more than thirty years. Master students in Environmental Psychology are automatically involved in this work.

At the end of Second World War the demand for social psychology raised. This demand raising happened particularly in areas of small-group process, attitude change, intergroup conflict.

Consequently psychologists began to apply social psychology to war, peace, prejudice. Studies were lead in laboratories. Although some doubts appeared, so professionals continued their studies outside of laboratories.

The person who first mentioned this term was Willy Helpach.

The book entitled Geopsyche, discusses how the sun and moon can influence human activity, color, and form effects, etc.

Other scientists of this field were Kurt Lewin, Jakob Von Uexküll, Egon Brunswik.

Green Building construction is able to resolve landfilling waste disposal problems, for the reason to use recyclable and also sustanaible materials.

As a logic consequence, UK governement has introduced landfill taxes and encouraged recyclable material use in construction.

The main advantage of Green Building is to avoid waste material production, but Green Building is also a profitable business, too.

There is a data to emphasize green construction. In UK public buildings it was found that carbon dioxide emission in case of these buildings was much more than all of Kenya.
