The renaming Act of Wildlife Refuge enlarged National Wildlife Refuge and permits oil and gas leasing in case of fitting and compatibility of extraction and resource purposes.

For leasing, US Congress authorization is necessary.

Wildlife Preserves-part three

The Arctic Refuge with its territory, over 18 million acres is one of the largest territory.

This territory is managed under the surveillance of US Fish and Wildlife Service, Interior Department.

Artic Refuge is also the land of fight between politicans, hungry of oil profits and protecting environmental activists.

Another Environmental Psychology derivation has developed out at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland in 1960's.

The beginning of this development can be traced back to David Canter, who founded the Performance Research Unit. It is at that time that ergonomics has broadened.

After that time ergonomics was kean to include environmental issues, too.

GC-Cuny was the first American Academic Institution to offer an Environmental Psychology Phd.

Main problems detailed in this Phd degree are the experiences of recent homeless people, privatization of public space, socio-spatial conflicts, design of specialized environments(eg:museums, gardens, zoos).

You can acquire Master and/or Doctorate Degree in Environmental Psychology in Brigham Young University.

Degree Programs offer intensive ecology, conservation biology, botany, geography, environmental law and other subject studies.

Other environmental psychology courses are offered in UK universities.

There is a Master of Science Degree in Natural Resources and Environment in Michigan University. The program concentrates on "Behavior, Education and Communication". The main focus is on environmentally-related consumer decisions, also. Other interesting branch is the affectation of people's mental and physical health by "nearby nature".
